Finally I got fucking tagged

Shannon O'Neill tagged me in this game of blog tag going around, so here's five things you don't know about me!

1. It was really important to me that I got tagged and I basically begged for it.
I have been tracking blog tag wondering why no one has deemed my secrets worthy of public airing. When Shannon got tagged I very cholantly (is that a word?) brought it up and she realized I am pathetic and tagged me. For some reason this was really important to me and there were at least three occasions where reading other peoples' blogs made me say "Man, I guess I'll never get tagged."

2. I cried when the Multiple Man died.
My favorite all time comic book run was Peter David's original run on X-Factor, and my favorite character was Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man. He died of the Legacy Virus in issue #100. In issue #105, a letter I wrote telling the world I cried at this death was published, with my full name AND ADDRESS, much to my chagrin.

3. I have a deep rooted fear of the movie The Wizard of Oz
I have always been a huge pussy when it comes to anything scary in movies (even though I have worked for Weird NJ for so many years where I do genuinely scary shit in real life.) This comes from my childhood - I was terribly scared of the Wicked Witch of the West, and my own mother used to torment me by impersonating her. Little did my mother know that this led me to having a childhood full of warped nightmares where my mom would turn into a witch. Which sucks when you're three, because you can't ask your mom for help with a nightmare when you're convinced she's a witch. I used to sleep under my parents' bed when I was scared cause I thought if I slept in their bed she would turn into a witch and get me.

4. I came 30 seconds away from shitting my pants before day one of my first improv class, and later conquered that moment.
The first day I ever set foot in the Barnes and Noble on 18th St and 5th Ave was before my first day of level 1 improv at UCB. My class was at the nearby Cap 21. I got there early and was so nervous I almost shit my pants, and ran to the Barnes and Noble. The second time I ever set foot in this Barnes and Noble was over five years later when I did my first book signing there.

5. I have eaten garbage on purpose.
When I worked at the movie theater on Route 1 in college, I was so poor that I ate someone's leftover food, and picked a cup out of the garbage, washed it out, and drank soda out of it. This was the low point of a summer that was probably as depressing as my life has ever been.

Who I want to tag:
My brother
Anthony King (who was already tagged, but I bet that guy has some fucked up secrets and I want them publicly aired)
Joe Wengert
The guy who runs the Apiary - because he is mysterious and no one knows facts about his life

Also, my brother and I got our group blog, gethardbrothers.blogspot.com tagged, so we're revealing things about each other there.

you should have made one of your secrets that you don't know how to put a link in your blog.

Awwww. I almost tagged you but figured at least ten other bloggers would as well, so I decided to waste all 5 of my tags on people who'll never use them. :(

When I saw you name drop the entire Claremont/Byrne run of "Uncanny" during an ASSSSCAT, I figured you may like the X-Men. Now I read your fact about Multiple Man. It pleases me.

When he died, I hand drew (and by this, I mean copied) selected panels from his appearances in X-Factor and compiled a scrapbook in his memory.

Thankfully he was resurrected and stars in the new and amazing X-Factor series.

Like Anna, I was going to tag you as well, but my only excuse for not following through with it was that I chickened out.

You were the first person I thought to tag, but Shannon beat me to it. I just finally got tagged myself, and I am basking in my new found validation.

I totally have X-Factor #105 somewhere in my old room in Long Island.
That's hilarious.
I've had about a dozen pathetic e-mails printed in various Marvel comics from around that same time.
No crying, but lots of constructive criticism about how to improve Secret Defenders, which is even lamer.
